Implementation of a loyalty program for Voltimum.

Voltimum is one of the largest portals providing information about products, trainings, and innovations, concerning the global electric market. The brand's community brings together more than 400,000 people, mainly fitters, contractors, and wholesalers. The company has several offices world-wide, however, their head office is located in Geneva.

 

 

Task and objectives

 

The close cooperation with Motivation Direct, resulted in designing and implementing the Voltimum Plus loyalty program, which is dedicated to fitters and experts in the field of electrical industry.

The largest distributors were involved in the process of developing this program - CEF, KEW Electrical, Shop4, Medlock Electrical Distributors, as well as the international producers – Philips, Schneider Electric, Signify, Linian, and WAGO.

 

 

 

The cross-industry, multi-brand loyalty program is targeted at experts in this field.

 

 

 

Program participants were given a platform which provides a possibility to register and an option to purchase from a partner distributor and manufacturer. One is after each purchase awarded with points, which are automatically converted and added to individual account. An interesting solution is the possibility of signing up for webinars and online events, during which participants are able to improve their knowledge. Also a participation in such events gives points in the program.

Once one has earned a given number of points, there is a possibility to exchange them into any prizes, from those available in an extensive catalogue. There is also a possibility of donating the earned points to charity through Electrical Industries Charity. They offer a wide range of support services for those who work and have worked in electrical and energy sectors.

 

The Voltimum Plus program was first launched in the UK and raised a lot of interestIt was already 6 months after the implementation, when the number of active participants exceeded several thousand, and new brands from the electrical industry are constantly joining the platform. This is why the program is planned to be launched in 3 more European countries in the near future.
