Bespoke API systems for APC Postal Logistics

We have implemented Rate API and Tracking API solutions that streamline a number of processes, both internal and external.

APC Postal Logistics is a leading US consolidator and distributor of international consignments and mail parcels. The US-based company offers a full range of shipping solutions to over 200 countries around the world. Thanks to facilities located strategically near international airports, the company provides efficient transport solutions at competitive prices.

 

 

Task and objectives

 

For our client, we have designed and implemented Rate API and Tracking API solutions, improving internal and external processes related to cooperation with business partners. In addition, we refreshed the graphic design of the client's website, which now presents the content in a convenient and modern way.

Tracking API allows to track parcels sent by APC Postal Logistics. Information about parcel’s status can be tracked directly from the website or via the Client's API. The API enables integration with many secondary systems, which additionally collect information about packages and merge them with each other.

 

 

 

1.5 million people per month check the status of their parcels using the Tracking API system.

 

 

 

Rate API is a system that is used to evaluate the cost of shipping international parcels. External systems, e.g. online stores, connect to the Customer's API and receive information about the shipping price, calculated on the basis of parameters specified by APC. Rate API currently supports about 100 thousand queries per month.

The systems are built on the proprietary Edito .NET Core platform and hosted in the Amazon cloud (AWS).

In the near future, it is planned integration of further carriers with the customer's systems.
